THE TENETS AND PRINCIPLES OF THE ABCORDIAL RELIGION (2017)

  • Name of the Religion This religion is known as The Abcordial Religion (a new religion created in 2017).
  • Monotheistic Framework The Abcordial Religion is fundamentally monotheistic, recognising a distinct supernatural deity that oversees and interacts with each galactic thermodynamic territorial region within the known universe and the broader, more complex cosmic matrix.
  • Equality and Purpose The Abcordial Religion does not discriminate or hold prejudices on Earth based on gender, genetics, disability, race, or geographical location. It strives to be a force for good in the galaxy, with a particular focus on Earth.
  • Divine Communication and Guidance We have been contacted on numerous occasions by this supernatural deity, with notable interactions occurring in July 2017, as well as during childhood and adolescence.
  • We recently accepted a gift from this deity, consisting of wisdom and specialised knowledge:

    a) Encouragement to lead a movement ensuring that planet Earth is both economically sustainable and healthy.

    b) Promotion of awareness regarding the environmental and biological damage caused to all organisms, including humans, due to a lack of respect for nature, particularly during the so-called developmental progress of the Victorian Industrial Revolution and its later encouragement towards envy, lassitude, and greed.

    c) Recognition that knowledge imparted to generations during the Victorian Revolution is now outdated, necessitating a simplified, discerning, and appropriate revision for the benefit of all living organisms on the planet.

  • Beliefs and Practices of Followers Those who subscribe to, or follow The Abcordial Religion:

    a) Believe in eternal life.

    b) Believe in a separate heavenly paradise for each gender.

    c) Adhere strictly and passionately to a vegan diet.

    d) Drink only tap water, whilst abstaining from alcohol, fizzy drinks, tea, or coffee, while allowing freshly prepared, shared fruit juices and herbal infusions, provided they are not pre-packaged. The drinking of tap water infused with vitamins and minerals is also acceptable.

    e) Pray regularly and diligently to the First Cause.

    f) Respect all forms of life.

    g) Help other people.

    h) Advocate the planting of all types of trees to improve the environment.

    i) Uphold and promote the legal principles of, and reasonable economically viable interpretations of, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948).

    j) Strive to bring stability and order to the chaos of the world.

  • Views on the Human Body, Bodily Integrity, and Medical Interventions

Followers of The Abcordial Religion hold the human body as sacred and deserving of the highest respect and protection. We strongly support the principles of bodily autonomy, informed consent, and voluntary participation in medical care.

As a matter of religious conviction, we favour treatments and interventions that are undertaken through open dialogue, mutual understanding, and agreement between practitioner and patient. We encourage healthcare professionals to work collaboratively with individuals wherever possible, respecting their wishes, dignity, and right to participate meaningfully in decisions affecting their own bodies and health.

We expect all medical practitioners to uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, including, but not limited to:

    a) The WMA Declaration of Geneva: The Physician’s Pledge (as amended October 2017), which commits physicians to respecting patient autonomy and dignity, prioritising health and well-being, maintaining the utmost respect for human life, and never using medical knowledge to violate human rights or civil liberties, even under threat.

    b) The WMA International Code of Medical Ethics (revised October 2022), which requires physicians to respect patients’ rights to accept or refuse care freely, obtain informed consent before any intervention, minimise harm, balance benefits and risks, protect confidentiality, and avoid discrimination or exploitation.

    c) The Nuremberg Code (1947), a foundational document in research and medical ethics that establishes the necessity of voluntary informed consent and prohibits harm or coercion in experimentation involving human subjects.

    d) The Principles of Biomedical Ethics (Beauchamp and Childress), particularly the core principles of autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and justice.

    e) Contemporary Good Medical Practice Guidelines, as promulgated by national regulatory bodies and aligned with WMA standards, which emphasise competent, compassionate, patient-centred care, honest communication, professionalism, and accountability.

These ethical frameworks reinforce our conviction that healthcare should be guided by respect for human dignity, informed choice, compassion, and the collaborative relationship between practitioner and patient.
