Poem: Bouncy Bunny Bump.

We were cruising on a date
In a fine & funky bug
To visit the Red Lion pub
& to catch up in the snug

Out bounced a rabbit
In front of the vehicle’s lights
I hit the bunny with the axle
Loudly bumping in the night

Then there were five
Then there were ten
Ten fluffy bunnies
Came to a grisly & bloody end

The chick she cried & howled
& to comfort her distress
I pulled into a lay-by
& surveyed the sad & sorry mess

When we arrived at the pub
We played a game of pool
It was then that she remarked
That I was a damned & wicked fool

But there was no warning
No time to apply the brakes
I got ditched the next day
& sold out to the snakes.
